Faessla Stuebn
Bars & Clubs · Bamberg
Faessla Stuebn on Kleberstrasse is the tap room of the Bamberg brewery of the same name and has long achieved cult status. Faessla beer — especially the Lager and the Zwergla — is poured fresh from the tap, and the atmosphere is as rustic as you could wish from a Franconian brewery pub. Wooden tables, low ceilings, regulars' tables full of locals — this is where Bamberg's beer culture can be experienced in its most authentic form.
The food is hearty Franconian fare at fair prices, pairing perfectly with the beer. Anyone wanting to discover Bamberg's brewery tradition beyond the better-known Schlenkerla and Spezial will find exactly the right place in Faessla Stuebn. On weekends it can get tight, and you may need to share a table — but that is part of the experience. The Stuebn closes comparatively early, making it better suited as an evening opener than a late-night destination.
