Brauerei im Füchschen
Bars & Clubs · Düsseldorf
Füchschen on Ratinger Straße is one of Düsseldorf's four great brewpubs and is cherished by many locals as their personal favorite. It has been brewing Altbier since 1848, producing a version that is slightly milder and smoother than Uerige's. The atmosphere is a touch calmer and less hectic, making it easier to strike up conversations with those around you.
The interior is classic and rustic with dark wood and the traditional long communal tables. The Köbes will keep the refills coming until your coaster covers your glass. The crowd is a good mix of younger locals, neighborhood regulars, and fewer tourists than the better-known brewhouses. The hearty traditional food — pork knuckle, Eisbein, Himmel un Ääd — is popular and affordable.
Opening hours are Monday from 15:00, Tuesday 15:00 to midnight, Wednesday through Saturday 11:00 to midnight, and Sunday 11:00 to 22:00. Weekday evenings offer especially good chances to meet people in a relaxed atmosphere without fighting through tourist crowds. A solid starting point for a night out on Ratinger Straße.
