KUZ

KUZ on Dagobertstrasse is Mainz's largest and most versatile cultural center. With a capacity of over 1000, it serves as the venue for everything that does not fit into the city's smaller clubs: concerts, club nights, comedy shows, and cultural events rotate through the program. This makes KUZ a place that defies a single description — every night is different.

The facilities are spacious and can be reconfigured for different formats. During club nights, the main hall becomes a dance floor; for concerts, a standing venue; for seated events, a theater. The acoustics are remarkably decent for a multi-purpose building, and the technical equipment is regularly upgraded. The in-house bar serves guests at fair prices.

Checking the event calendar before visiting is essential, as KUZ does not open daily and entry prices vary significantly. Tickets are available in advance and sometimes at the door depending on the event. The Old Town location is central and easily accessible. For Mainz residents, KUZ is the closest thing to a major event venue without having to travel to Frankfurt.
